Terms of Service
Last updated 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Cardexr, including our website, account features, portfolio tools, pricing data, market analytics, subscriptions, and related services. By creating an account, using the service, or starting a paid subscription when subscriptions are available, you agree to these terms.
If you use Cardexr on behalf of a business or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.
2. Alpha service and changes
Cardexr is currently an alpha product. Features, data coverage, pricing calculations, import tools, portfolio workflows, availability, and pricing may change as the product is developed. We may add, remove, suspend, or modify features at any time, including to fix issues, improve reliability, manage costs, or protect the service.
We aim to provide a useful and reliable service, but alpha access is provided without uptime commitments, service credits, or guaranteed support response times.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it results from our failure to protect the service. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Cardexr may use invite-only access, waitlists, email verification, rate limits, abuse prevention, and other safeguards to protect alpha users and the platform.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Cardexr may offer free, alpha, trial, beta, and paid subscription plans. Paid subscription terms, prices, included features, renewal periods, taxes, and cancellation rules will be shown at checkout or in the account area when paid plans are available.
Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel future renewals through the account or billing flow provided. Cancellation does not usually entitle you to a refund for time already used, except where required by law or expressly stated by Cardexr.
Payment processing may be handled by Stripe or another payment processor. We do not ask you to send full card details through Cardexr support channels.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse Cardexr. For example, you must not:
- attempt to access accounts, data, systems, or admin features without permission;
- interfere with the service, bypass rate limits, scrape at abusive volumes, or overload infrastructure;
- upload malicious code, exploit vulnerabilities, or test security without written permission;
- use Cardexr to break the law, infringe rights, or mislead others;
- resell, copy, or redistribute Cardexr data or outputs except as allowed by your plan or by written permission.
6. Your content and portfolio data
You keep ownership of collection records, portfolio entries, notes, imports, feedback, and other content you submit. You grant Cardexr a licence to host, process, back up, display, analyse, and use that content as needed to provide and improve the service, operate support, protect the platform, and develop aggregated or de-identified insights.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you submit. Do not submit personal data about other people unless you have a lawful basis to do so.
7. Market data and no financial advice
Cardexr provides tools, pricing data, valuation estimates, market context, and portfolio analytics for collectibles research. Cardexr does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and nothing in the service is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, grade, insure, or finance any collectible.
Collectibles markets are volatile and data can be incomplete, delayed, wrong, duplicated, polluted by unsuitable listings, or affected by third-party marketplace behaviour. You are responsible for your own decisions and should verify important data before relying on it.
8. Third-party services and data
Cardexr may depend on third-party services for hosting, authentication, databases, email, analytics, error monitoring, payment processing, fonts, catalog information, marketplace data, and other functionality. Third-party services may change, fail, or impose limits, and their terms and privacy notices may apply to their services.
9. Intellectual property
Cardexr and its software, design, branding, compiled data structures, analysis methods, and service content are owned by Cardexr or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of Cardexr intellectual property to you.
Pokemon and related names, images, and marks belong to their respective owners. Cardexr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those rights holders unless expressly stated.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Cardexr at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, create risk for the service or other users, fail to pay subscription fees when due, or if we discontinue the service or an alpha programme.
Account deletion and data requests can be made through account settings where available or through the contact form.
11. Disclaimers
Cardexr is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every device, or that data or outputs will be accurate, complete, or current.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cardexr will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost opportunities, trading losses, investment losses, or loss of goodwill arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as by posting the updated terms in the service or sending an email. Continued use of Cardexr after updated terms take effect means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where consumer protection rules require otherwise. Questions, account requests, privacy requests, and alpha feedback can be sent through the contact form or to support@cardexr.com.
